A mobile banking redesign focused on confidence, fast transfers, and clearer money movement.
Aurora Finance wanted a mobile experience that felt trustworthy and effortless for everyday money movement. I reimagined the app around confident, fast transfers and clearer account context, simplifying flows that once felt uncertain. The redesign gives people a calmer sense of control over where their money is going.

Discovery and flows
I started by mapping the exact moments where customers hesitated: checking balances before committing, confirming they had the right recipient, and understanding when their money would actually arrive. Each pause was a small crack in confidence that the old app never fully addressed.
The final flow reduced the number of steps in a transfer while adding clearer status language at the points that mattered most. The app felt faster without removing the confirmation checkpoints people quietly depend on.
Designing for trust
I treated every screen as an opportunity to answer an unspoken question, whether that was “did this go through?” or “who am I sending this to?” Anticipating those questions let the interface reassure people before doubt had a chance to form.
Prototyping with real customers showed that small touches, like naming a recipient in plain language and previewing arrival time, did more for confidence than any amount of visual polish. Those findings shaped the tone of the entire redesign.

Interface system
The visual system leans on restrained surfaces, a strong transaction hierarchy, and persistent account context so customers always know exactly what they are acting on. Money movement demands clarity, and the interface was tuned to remove ambiguity wherever it appeared.
I built reusable patterns for cards, alerts, and confirmation states that could carry the same sense of calm across the product. These patterns gave the team a dependable kit rather than a set of one-off screens.
Scaling the system
Once the core patterns were stable, the team extended the redesign into savings, cards, and support journeys without starting from scratch each time. The shared components kept those new areas feeling like part of one coherent product.
Documentation paired every component with the reasoning behind it, so engineers and designers could make consistent decisions independently. That shared understanding is what let the system grow without fragmenting.
